1. Wanna hear what a leader sounds like? Huh? Do ya? This is what a leader sounds like. Mighty Vince Young: We want him (Pac Man) to know these guys over here, we love him a whole lot, but we feel like he don’t care about us right now. At the same time, that’s his issue. He has got to take care of his problem. We want him back here, to come back over here playing and making plays because he does a whole lot for our team, but as a team we are feeling like, Man, does he care about us over here? That’s what a leader sounds like. Mighty Vince Young is going to be a super super star. In charge. A big house. Five cars.
2. Pac Man surrendered and was released on $20,000 bail. He will plead not guilty to two felony charges of coercion stemming from allegations he threatened to kill Minxx Club employees and that he bit a bar bouncer. Remember Tree Rollins bit Danny Ainge. That was funny. This ain’t. This guy’s a menace.
3. Joe Girardi declined an offer to become the new manager of the Baltimore Orioles. Joe said, the timing wasn’t right “for the Girardi family.” Not to say as I blame him, the O’s are horrible. But this leads to me to believe Joe has something else in the works. Yankees perhaps? You heard it here first, folks.
4. Jason Giambi will meet with George Mitchell, agreeing right before baseball commissioner Bud Selig’s deadline to cooperate with the steroids investigator. We want names dammit! Names! We already know Jason used. We won’t get names. I want to see the Jason Grimsley report. I want to see the Kirk J. Radomski (Mets Trainer) report. I want to see names. Don’t I deserve it?
5. The trade that would have sent Kevin Garnett to Boston was kyboshed after The Big Ticket got word to the Celtics that he doesn’t want to play for them. Good. Who needs him? Who needs an MVP? Who needs a ten time All-Star. Who needs a seven time All-NBA and All-Defensive Team player. Not us. We want Yi!
6. You hate to see it. Miguel Tejada‘s consecutive games streak is endangered by a wrist injury. If Tejada is forced to miss any action, his streak of 1,152 consecutive regular-season games played would come to an end. It is the fifth-longest streak in big league history and longest current streak in the majors. So sad. I always liked Tejada. I always kinda hoped he’d come to Boston. I hope he keeps playing.
7. Yankees swept. Ha ha ha ha! 10 1/2 games. Roger Clemens. I’ll be your savior, steadfast and true. I’ll come to your emotional rescue. Bloody not likely. Not unless six innings and three runs is a savior. Cause that’s all you’re gonna get. That’s all you’re gonna get all year. I hope he never reaches 350. That’s what I hope.
8. The King is dead! Long live the King! Felix Hernandez pitched eight innings, allowing six hits and striking out nine as the Mariners shut out the Pirates for the second straight game. Mariners manager Mike Hargrove: You knew eventually Felix would get there. We just needed it sooner rather than later. I knew he would get there. He was my pre-season Cy Young winner. That now goes to Boom Boom Beckett. Roll Sox, roll!

St. Bonaventure baseball coach Larry Sudbrook was fined $1,000 Thursday after he pleaded guilty to trying to carry a .357 Magnum revolver onto a commercial airplane. Stupid! Just what are folks thinking these days? I just don’t get it.
10. Jake Peavy vs. Josh Boom Boom Beckett. If you love baseball, this is must see TV. Unfortunately you must have the Baseball package to see it.
